More About Anna
A graduate of The Royal Academy of Music (RAM) in London, Anna has worked as a piano teacher and accompanist since 1994 teaching children and adults alike. Anna also teaches theory, improvisation, chamber music, sight reading, aural studies and musicianship. Anna teaches complete beginners to diploma level students.
Having returned to London in 2007 after having her daughter, she started a part-time BA course in Music Composition at the university of Middlesex in 2008. Anna started teaching privately again in February 2009 and continues doing so together with accompanying string players and singers.
Aside from her private teaching, Anna also holds a teaching post at The Dragon School in Oxford and the Our Lady’s Abingdon Senior School in Abingdon as a Peripatetic Piano Teacher.
Anna’s teaching approach is creative, fun and educational. She uses different piano methods and books depending on the student’s personality and targets. She also uses a lot of demonstration and improvisational techniques in her teaching as she finds that this approach is more targeted and effective.
