What To Do Including Museums, Theatre & Days Out

There is an abundance of things to do in and near St John’s Wood. The fact that we are so close to the centre of London and can get places easily makes it an even better place to live and raise a family.

The ultimate guide is Time Out.

Here are some general thoughts on what to do and where to go. This list is endless and I will add things to it as I think of them.

Museums

There are numerous things to do and below are just a tiny snippet of an abundance of things to do.

I am not sure if The London Zoo is technically a museum, but I am including it here. It is well worth getting an annual pass to the zoo. Children under the age of 3 go in for free. The bus 247 stops at the zoo.

The Jewish Cultural Centre, JW3, a couple of blocks north of the O2 Centre, has recently opened and they have a lot of activities to suit everyone. All the double decker buses going north on Finchley Road from St John’s Wood (13, 82, 113) will take you there. Get off at Finchley Road & Frognal. You can also take the 187 and get off at the O2 Centre and just walk up the road a couple of blocks.

Below are some of my children’s favourites:

London Transport Museum

Science Museum

Buckingham Palace

Victoria & Albert Museum

HMS Belfast

Theatre

There are always new plays around, so the best thing to do is look at websites like timeout.com.
